Joomla! 3.1.0 appeared just a few days ago, and yesterday Joomla! 3.1.1 was released - Joomla! is really pushing it with releases. But to keep you relaxed, we got a special thing for you: A special teabag-discount to keep you in the right mood (and save you some money).

Teabags? Whatever ....

Joomla! 3.1 ships with tag-support. But what is the relationship between tags and teabags - well, first of all, it's only a difference of three letters (eab). And three letters is the major number of this new Joomla! (3). And tea is relaxing. And ... well, whatever. We came up with a promotion to keep you all relaxed and focussed while making the move to Joomla! 3.

The promotion

You get 20% discount on all Joomla! extensions (including MageBridge) when you place an order in our Yireo Shop and use the coupon code TEABAGS (all capitals). The discount is valid until May 12th 2013, so make sure you apply for the discount before that date.

Current status of Yireo extensions and Joomla! 3.1

As of yet, we have found no issues in MageBridge related to Joomla! 3.1, but we are still brainstorming on how to integrate the tags functionality into MageBridge. Probably, that's not going to happen: Tags are currently based on a basic implementation of UCM, but MageBridge fetches its content from Magento directly - so things like UCM don't apply. We're still open for braindumps on how to integrate this tagging nonetheless.

Other extensions will be made compatible with Joomla! 3.1 soon. SimpleLists had some issues which are already fixed on GitHub. Dynamic404 seems to run flawlessly. Other extensions will be tested soon. We also still have some extensions that were not even compatible with Joomla! 3.0 yet, but we'll hope to offer Joomla! 3 packages for all our extensions soon. Our main deadline for this is end of May 2013 (so 1 more month to go).
