December 13, 2012
Recently we developed a free Bootstrap-based Joomla! module, that turns your Joomla! menus into a nice JavaScript-based accordion. Inspired as we are, we called it Bootstrap Accordion Menu. The module now hits version 1.0.1, completing all the features we wanted to add to it.

jpegoptim: Wrong JPEG library version
October 31, 2012
And now for something completely different: We are currently experimenting with image-optimization tools, to replicate the behaviour of remote services like PageSpeed and Smush.It. And for this we needed a tool called to be installed on the hosting level. However, starting up jpegoptim gave an error about the wrong JPEG library version. How to solve that?

Yireo Guidelines for Magento Modification
October 16, 2012
In the past, Yireo has seen so many Magento sites that were build using wrong procedures, resulting in corrupt Magento applications that could not be upgraded. The key here is that the customer (you) doesn't ask for quality with the right terminology, and the developer doesn't read the manual. Here are own guidelines, that hopefully can serve you to control your Magento modifications.
Customizing the Magento checkout success-page
October 3, 2012
When optimizing your Magento shop for conversion, it is always good to pay attention to the Magento checkout success-page (URL checkout/success). You can thank the customer for purchasing, redirect the customer to a specific procedure. However, this page is only shown when you finish a Magento order. And after a refresh, this session is cleared - so a refresh of the success-page redirects you to an empty cart. This tutorial shows you how to improve this situation.
Magento localization with Transifex
September 27, 2012
Transifex is a popular platform to assist in translations - it is used by Joomla! and numerous other open source projects. But support for Magento CSV-files was still lacking. Yireo is proud to mention that - thanks to a GitHub pull request to add Magento CSV-support to Transifex - it is now possible to use Transifex for Magento translations.
Versions 0.2.0 of BingTranslate and GoogleTranslate for Magento
September 17, 2012
For some time, our BingTranslate and GoogleTranslate extensions made various Magento users happy by allowing them to translate products through their Magento backend. Many times, automated translations are off - making real-time frontend translations less perfect. Our extensions make a difference by allowing backend-based translations to be saved and optimized afterwards. Now version 0.2.0 brings various exciting new features to both extensions.
